Sun School
Sun School is the best senior high school in the city where I live. It has many extracurricular activities. It won several school competition and this school also got award from the goevernment as the best school of the year in 2013. It has a commitment to give the best education for children and it proves it through its quality. Sun school is located in Bandar Lampung. The location is very strategic because it is in the middle of the town in which the access to public transportation are easy to get.
Sun School is a big school. The weather is cool and fresh because it has many trees around it. The fresh air makes the students spiritful to study. The buildings are tall and big. Those buildings are set based on each function. If we enter the main gate, we can see a very big building. That building is the place where the teachers and staffs of Sun school work. Besides, there is also a waiting room for the guests which is completed with television and air conditioner.
After passing the main building, we will see the classrooms in a row. Those classrooms surround three grounds i.e. ceremony, basketball and soccer ground. If we stand in front of the flag pole, the rooms on the right side are local class for first and second grade. There are 14 classes which are divided into two locals i.e 8 local classes for science study and 6 local classes for social science study.
The teachers in Sun school mostly hold master degree in education study. Most of them graduated from the best university in Indonesia which holds education study program. They are certified as professional teachers and have already been trained for three months before they officially accepted as teacher in Sun school and teach the students. They have good personality. They have high integration and strong commitment to give the best education in Sun school. The teachers are not only intelligent but also they have a good sense of humour that makes the students feel fun and comfortable to study with them. The teachers are good at maintaining their relationship with the students and the parents. That’s the key why the parents trust Sun school as the place for their children to study.
The extracurricular activities in Sun school are various. The students can choose the activities based on their interest. Through the extracurricular activities, the students can explore their talents and aptitude. The activities include sport, art, social activities, science activities, etc. Sun school ever won award from UNESCO for its social activities that the students build a book house in some districts to create reading habit. The vocal group also ever joined international teen vocal group competition in Mexico and it passed to the semi-final round.
Sun school becomes favorite school in the town. It attracts many people attention and make them send their children to that school. Many Sun school’s students are accepted in the best universities in Indonesia after they graduate. Some of them continue their study abroad.
